LinOTP Appliance Manual

4. LinOTP Appliance Manual#

The LinOTP Appliance is an utility to easily install, configure, manage and maintain a LinOTP instance. In this section we describe its interface and usage.

Warning

Some advanced LinOTP administration features, such as directly editing configuration like LinOTP’s .cfg files, /etc/linotp/conf.d/, and Apache sites, are not available by default on the LinOTP Appliance.

To access these advanced features, log in to a restricted shell on the appliance using the root password, and then execute unsupported to raise your access rights to a full root shell.

Please understand that doing so allows you to change the configuration in potentially incompatible ways and the appliance may not work as intended afterwards. Use this only if you really know what you are doing.
