As stated in the description of the modular architecture of LinOTP 2, it is possible to combine different components of LinOTP 2 to once special needs.
Thus it is possible to run LinOTP 2 in single user environment at home or in a large scale enterprise environment with thousands of users stored in any kind of redundant user store.
To address these different needs there are at the moment two ready tailored editions, the LinOTP Community Edition and the LSE LinOTP Enterprise Edition. These editions differ in the available and used components.
